「メランコリー」という概念から1950年代を切る、という点に魅力を感じて注文したが、歴史研究的な厳密さに欠けるのが期待とは違った。

ただ、４章の "Making Love with Absence: Neoconservatism and the Fifties" あたりは目を通しておいた方がよさそう。
